Herbal Coat and Skin 900g

Herbal Coat and Skin is a blend of six herbs Chamomile, Burdock Root, Nettle Leaf, Clivers, Echinacea Root and Dandelion Root, which are all known for their ability to improve the condition of the skin, coat, mane and tail. The echinacea is the most extensively used herb as an immune system support. Clivers is rich in silica so helps hair growth and improves brittle manes and tails. The remaining herbs help assist the liver and kidneys to detox the body and so cleanse the tissues.

Feeding guidelines: Feed 30-50g a day

Feeding as an Infusion

Many herbs, including Herbal Coat and Skin, can be fed in their dried form, but this may mean that it sometimes takes a while for an improvement to be seen.

There is a way to speed up the effect! By simply making an infusion with the herb, the active constituents are made more readily available and are more easily absorbed by the horse.

Ideally, add a ½ litre/pint of boiling water to the herbs to be given that day. When cooled, the whole infusion (including the herbs) can be used to dampen down the horses feed. If access to a kettle is not practical, soaking overnight in cold water will also help to release the active constituents.
